Rated X - All The Way

Rated X was formed 1985 in South Florida. Rated X got nation wide attention as one of the first bands considered by Bon Jovi for production. The band opted to work with bassist and producer Dana Strum (Ozzy, Vinnie Vincent Invasion, Slaughter). In 1986, the band flew to Hollywood, CA and recorded a demo with Strum. This Demo session was host to stars like; Poison, Slaughter, Winger, Sweet Savage etc.. and featured a then young and hungry Ross Robinson. After playing every club that would have them, Rated X recorded a 4 song demo. Produced by Greg Wright. Rated X grew at an alarming rate, even the likes of Carrie Gordy took interest a began to finance the band. Signing with Wittaker Management, Rated-X seemd destined for the big time. But founding memeber and bass player Shane Roberts, took ill and soon reluctantly retired. Rick Monroe soon left and formed ’Monroe’. Dave and Kelly went on to the band Vaudville.
