⛓ OVERDRIVE ⛓is a queer rave odyssey by Thandi Phoenix. The song was produced by the legendary Paul Mac and the video features Red Rey, King Cxntessa and other performers from Sydney’s underground queer scene. ’Overdrive’ is about seduction, desire & temptation. The all-consuming kind of attraction that just takes over and has you acting in ways you thought you wouldn’t. The videos fever point suggests the euphoric, sexy rush of connecting with someone on the dance floor. To visualize the feeling of losing control we utilised a dynamic camera technique - an adult rave reimagining of the Disney spinning tea cup ride.
