The victims had reportedly been shot earlier the same morning amid an uptick in criminal activity, including looting and theft of electrical equipment, in wealthy areas of the city. Haiti’s capital remains paralyzed following an outbreak of gang violence on February 29th and a political impasse following the resignation of the country’s prime minister.
