Sneffinsky [Journey Series]

Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series! On this edition we welcome Sneffinsky (@sneffinsky) The musical journey of Saymon aka. Sneffinsky has been a ride full of surprising, mind expanding moments and beautiful memories over the past years which is in itself a reflection of his bigger journey of life as a whole and continues with an ongoing flow of organic interplay. While having his more solid bases in Cologne and Berlin, Sneffinsky also embodies the free spirit of a migratory bird and can often be found in many other parts of this beautiful world throughout the year following the universal flow that this life has to offer to him. Through his travels and his affinity for other cultures, Sneffinsky has been living in various subcultures over the years and therefore come into contact with many different musical genres. This is reflected in the musical diversity of his DJ sets, which can vary a lot in its roots, its speed and the overall mood. Whether it is a fiery club gig, a vibrant & bouncy festival day rave or a groovy sundowner session on a remote place near the ocean, there is one thing all of his sets have in common: They always come with personal intention & result in a unique and deep journey through sound & mind for the listeners and Saymon himself. The creative expression through music plays a crucial part of processing events and emotions throughout the different phases of his life. The biggest inspiration for Saymon has always been nature. And by sharing this synergy of nature and music with the crowd through sonic composition, Sneffinsky creates room for connection to the deeper self and the life force that unifies all of us living creatures. A few words from Sneffinsky to today’s mix: “I am very happy & grateful to provide this journey through some of my favourite organic downtempo selections from the past years and become part of the Magician on Duty Journey Series. Many of these tracks are connected to very special memories in my life and the overall energy of this final compilation reflects my current inner state pretty precisely. It is a melange of partly dreamy, partly progressive and partly bouncy downtempo, infused with sounds from tribal, organic and oriental rhythms that transport vibrations of levity, ease, warmth and freedom initiating the brighter days that are just around the corner.
