Create a Wool Fabric Texture in Substance Designer

Today we’re creating a wool fabric texture from scratch in Substance Designer to complete an image that could be used for your social media. We go through the process of breaking up the pattern and recreating it using many powerful nodes like the tile generator and tile sampler. Download the finished graph to better understand how it was made: Due to the amazingly positive response to this video, I’ve created an in-depth training series called Fabric Essentials: Wool. Check out my video which includes an updated full-featured tutorial here: Chapters: 0:00 What’s Up? 3:25 Creating the base shape 5:52 Building the wool pattern 10:42 Adding variation to the pattern 13:07 Adding fuzzy detail to the strands 17:22 Create the stray hairs 22:41 Scaling the pattern down 25:58 Color/Albedo 29:08 Connect our outputs Check out more at my blog: ---------------------------------
