Acrobatic Feats By St Pensbys Aka Trapeze And Trampoline Act (1910)

Location of events unknown. General view looking over the heads of spectators at a stage in the open air. St Pensby’s Acrobats are performing. We first see two men on a kind of static trapeze - they do the swinging themselves! One man pretends to get stuck at the top of the trapeze and the other helps him. Several shots of the four men, three wearing shirts, ties and trousers, the other dressed more casually, swinging from the trapezes and flying from one to the other. They also do trampolining and somersaults. For the finale, a woman who has been standing at the end of the stage turns cartwheels across the front while the men are coming down from the trapeze and turning somersaults on the trampoline. They all take a bow. Nice footage of acrobatic act. Circus; daredevils; entertainment; sports; stunts. Modified WPA record. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
