“Aie a Mwana“ is the title of a famous song created by the Franco-Belgian creative duo Daniel Vanguard and Jean Kluger. It was originally released in 1971 as “Aieaoa“ on the album Le Monde fabuleux des Yamasuki. In 1975, it was recorded by the African band Black Blood in Belgium with lyrics in Swahili and released as . (A Mwana).“ A Swahili variant also appeared in the video game Pro Evolution Soccer 2011. In 1976 it was included by James Last in his It’s Non-Stop Dancin’ diskopoppuri called . (MWANA). In 1981 “Aie a Mwana“ became the first single released by the English group Bananarama. In the same year, she appeared on the album Ottawan 2 by the French band Ottawan with lyrics in English called AIE Is My Song.
