The entire audio has been mastered for vinyl by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony with the goal to preserve a ’true to the original’ sound. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄 With “Hate Campaign” being somewhat of an underrated album in the massive discography of Sweden’s DISMEMBER, 2004’s “Where Ironcrosses Grow” showed the band in top form. From the title track to the closing ’As I Pull the Trigger’ it offers 38 minutes of flawless Swedish death metal, and featured – for the first time since the debut – another artwork by Dan Seagrave. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗮𝘀 In 2006, Swedish death metallers DISMEMBER delivered the stunning “The God That Never Was” which continued in the vein of “Where Ironcrosses Grow” yet proved to be even more aggressive, even more dynamic, and rightfully is considered one of the best albums in their highly consistent discography. From two minutes long face-melting tracks like the opener or ’Never Forget, Never Forgive’ over to the superb chorus and epic melodies in ’Time Heals Nothing’, from the instrumental ’Phantoms (Of the Oath)’ to ’Autopsy’, “The God That Never Was” is premier league death metal. 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 The self-titled album by Swedish death metal legends DISMEMBER was originally released in 2008 and is the only album in the group’s career to not feature mastermind, drummer and producer Fred Estby. Still, it ended the first chapter in the band’s history on a high note offering a rabid performance by vocalist Matti Kärki, sported some punishing grooves (’Europa Burns’, ’Dark Depths’), and brilliant melodic parts in songs like ’Under a Blood Red Sky’ or ’Black Sun’. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘀 𝟭𝟵𝟴𝟴-𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟬 For this batch of reissues, the early demos of Swedish death metal band DISMEMBER were restored and mastered anew by Patrick W. Engel who worked with new tape rips by tape-trading legend Nicola Costantini (author of “Encyclopedia Of Svensk Döds Metall”) to give you the best possible versions of DISMEMBER’s demos “Dismembered” (1988), “Last Blasphemies” (1989), and “Reborn in Blasphemy” (1990) --- DISMEMBER “TRAIL OF THE DEAD“ LYRICS The howl of artillery passes overhead Trailing tongues of fire, spelling certain death Counter battery bursts raining down on positions The steel inferno reaps its deadly harvest I walk among the corpses of the fallen Fingers curled into claws of rigor mortis The wall of fire creeping closer An infernal crescendo that seems not to end We left a trail of ten thousand dead I still hear their screams in my head Feel the caress of hot lead Fighting a battle we can’t win Hot steel ripping through young flesh Our numbers are growing thin Nowhere to run nowhere to go Wading through human remains Comrades in pieces friends cut to shreds The violence of warfare we start to comprehend #NuclearBlastRecords #NuclearBlast #Metal #DeathMetalChannel #DeathMetalClassics #MetalMusic #Metalhead #Metalheads #SwedishDeathMetal
