After Turkey now in Romania! A strong earthquake shakes the Balkans!

Today in Romania there was an earthquake of magnitude 5.7. The earthquake occurred at 15:16 local time in the Gorj region at a depth of about 6 km. The epicenter was 106 km northwest of Craiova, 167 km east of Timisoara and 219 km east of Belgrade. After the main shock, several aftershocks of lesser intensity were also recorded. The earthquake was reportedly felt in Arad, Timișoara, Alba Iulia, Sibiu, Râmnicu Valce, Targu Jiu, Craiova and the capital Bucharest. In addition, tremors were also felt in Bulgaria and Serbia. This is the second medium-strength earthquake to hit Romania this week. Recall that yesterday there was an earthquake measuring 5.2 points. Shortly after the incident, the Main Inspectorate for Emergency Situations reported that there were no calls to the emergency service at number 112. There were no reports of property damage or casualties.
