One on One - Dr. J vs Larry Bird on 8 different 8bit computers systems. Today I’m going to be looking at each on of those computer systems or game consoles and checking out the difference in each version. I will be looking at the Apple II, Atari 800, Commodore 64, MSDOS, ColecoVision, ZX Spectrum, Amiga and Atari 7800. One on One was released in 1983 and it was one of my favorite sports games in the early 80’s. It had classic features like shattering the backboard, fatigue, instant replays and a referee calling all the fouls. Being able to play with the legends of Dr. J or Larry Bird back then as a kid was so cool. Dr. J was the man before Michael Jordan came along so as a kid when we played basketball we all wanted to be Dr. J with his classic dunks.
