Crowds of students gather in Yerevan for a rally against Pashinyan’s policies - young people leave lectures to join the ranks of protesters
In Armenia, after a night “respite”, the opposition is once again filling the capital’s squares. Yesterday, thousands of people took to the streets of Yerevan, opposing the delimitation of the border with Azerbaijan - with the support of Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, they gave Nikol Pashinyan one hour to resign. The Prime Minister did not respond to the opposition’s demands, after which the protesters launched impeachment proceedings.
Now all Armenians who disagree with Pashinyan’s policy are returning to their seats after the night lull: many young people who ran away from lectures to support the demonstrators are also flocking to the rally. Students, not hiding their dissatisfaction with the way the Prime Minister is bartering away his country and citizens, are shouting speeches right inside the university walls.
