Medicine (1917)

Medicine. Location of events unknown. World War One; casualties. Medical; military. Wounded British servicemen on Cunard liner trip for some serious rest & recuperation. Stretchers carried up gang plank. Shot on deck; with men and nurses crowded everywhere; a string quartet playing. Another shot of same. CU a man - music hall performer type comedian - entertaining; telling a joke or something as soldiers and nurses watch. CU 3 men standing by ship’s wheel; one of them; an RAF soldier who must have been in a burning plane; has a horrifying scarred & disfigured burned face. Very sad but actually he seems fairly happy. GV soldiers applauding. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV. IT’S FULL OF GREAT DOCUMENTARIES, FASCINATING INTERVIEWS, AND CLASSIC MOVIES.
