Chat GPT and the Talking Dog with Dr. Terry Sejnowski

An alien has appeared on Earth and is talking to us in English. Where did the alien come from? What impact will it have on our lives? Dr. Terry Sejnowski, internationally renowned pioneer in AI, kicked off the 2023 One VCU Research Weeks with his lecture “Chat GPT and the Talking Dog“ on Monday, April 10, 2023 at VCU’s Institute for Contemporary Art. Dr. Sejnowski is the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator and professor and director of the Computational Neurobiology Laboratory at The Salk Institute. He is a pioneer of neurobiology, using both experimental and computer modeling techniques to study the connections between brain cells and the way neurons work together in large networks. Dr. Sejnowski works to understand the computational resources of the brain, and tries to link brain function and behavior using computer models.
