Mischa Maisky & Daria Hovora – Schubert: Du bist die Ruh, Op. 59/3, D. 776 (1996)
As an exclusive Deutsche Grammophon artist for more than 30 years, Mischa Maisky has made over 40 recordings with such orchestras as the Wiener and Berliner Philharmonikers, the Israel Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Orpheus and Chamber Orchestra of Europe, not to mention his long-standing partnership with Martha Argerich among others. His discography on The Yellow Label is a compendium of the core cello repertoire but also comprises lesser-known works, and arrangements for cello. Celebrating his remarkable output, DG presents a limited edition 44-CD set of his complete recordings on the label plus recordings made for Philips, with some recordings released for the first time internationally.
