It is our mission as an orchestra to offer a symphonic symbol of solidarity in these difficult times,and to convey our message in support of peace. A week after the war broke out, we recorded “Prayer for Ukraine“, a piece written by Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov and arranged for orchestra by Eduard Resatsch, under the baton of our chief conductor Jakub Hrůša. This is the musical expression of the emotions that fill our hearts these days and move all of us –the entire orchestra, Jakub Hrůša and the administration–to do our part in restoring dialogue and hope.
