This “Blessing“ Scam is a Pyramid Scheme

Blessing scams are being found on social media from the ease of adding recruits and the trust that people have in their friends and family. The BBB is warning social media consumers of these pyramid schemes because of the inability for people to analyze the schemes when invited by friends and family. The scheme is simple: bring a monetary GIFT to the group AND recruit two more people when you join. A pyramid scheme is when previous investors are paid with money from recruiting new investors. No matter how you want to label the gift, the reward is money and the prize is paid for from the new recruits. This makes this opportunity a pyramid scheme. There is no investment, there is no business, there is no way of generating money, yet somehow people are walking away with $11,200 from the pot after inputting only $1,400.
