Unused / unissued material - VS During a service dance given by the No 1 Balloon Centre RAF (SOF throughout to the tune of “I Cried For You“). Male and female service personnel dance to the band. Connected with story in 41/13 dated around February 1941. The musicians are all servicemen who played in professional bands before the war. We see C/Us of conductor, Corporal George Beaumont (used to play at Prince of Wales’ theatre), the trombonists George Thorn (formerly musician at ABC theatres) and Paul Fenoulhet (previously of Carol Gibbon’s band), trumpeters Chick Smith (formerly of Lew Stone’s band), Alf Horton (of Harry Roy’s band) and Ted Allaby (of Eastbourne Municipal Orchestra), double bass player Jack Purvis (of Jack Harris’s band), drummer Jack Dobbs (Oscar Rabin’s band), pianist Pat Dodds (Al Collin’s Band), guitarists Rube Mason (used to play in Beaumont’s band), saxophonists Basil Skinner (also of Beaumont’s band), Issy Duman (Carol Gibbon’s band) Billy Apps (Lew Stone’s band) and Cliff
