Chinese Space Pioneer Tianlong-2 rocket maiden launch, 2 April 2023 (Launch Campaign Overview)

Source: Space Pioneer via The successful launch of the 1st Tianlong-2 rocket by Beijing based private company Space Pioneer from China’s Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on April 2, 2023 at 08:48 UTC. This is the first liquid fuel (mostly kerosene/liquid oxygen) based orbital launch vehicle by a Chinese private company to reach orbit, and is the largest rocket by any worldwide private company to reach orbit on the 1st try since SpaceX’s Falcon 9 and Orbital Sciences’ Antares. This video shows the launch campaign, on board video camera feeds and LCC scenes. The rocket managed to reach a 500 km high Sun-synchronous Orbit about 15 minutes after launch.
