Mike Wiggs of Britain and Michel Bernard of France with Pirie and Elliott bringing up the rear. Various shots of the race as the runners go along the back strait on the last lap, Nat Fisher has faded and Bernard is leading. Elliott is in second place and Pirie third. Elliott moves up to Bernard’s shoulder and overtakes him. M/S Elliott on the final strait well in front. He runs strongly towards the tape and breaks through. C/U Elliott as he walks past camera.
