★ 4K 🇨🇭 Laupen - Bern - Langnau, cab ride Switzerland [] Führerstandsmitfahrt

Today we’re looking at a couple of interesting lines in the canton of Bern aboard the S2 service. The line we’re starting on formerly connected Flamatt & Gümmenen. In 1993, it was decided only to operate the line to Laupen due to the low volume of people that used the section to Gümmenen and the inadequate connects between trains there. In a 2020 video from Geneva to Lucerne, you can see the line as it was being overhauled ( For this purpose it was closed for a number of months. Amongst other things, the overhead wiring was completely renewed and the station of Laupen (formally a 5 track station) was moved a few hundred meters towards Flamatt and given just a single platform.
