The Colt Model 1877 Lightning Double Action Revolver

Colt was making double action revolvers as early as the 1870’s. In this GunTec presentation Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA, takes a look at the Colt Model 1877 Lightning. This six shot revolver can be fired in both single and double action. It features a four and a half inch barrel, fixed sights, and hard rubber grips. It is chambered in the 38 long colt cartridge. Colt manufactured the Lightning from 1877 to 1909, producing over 166,000 guns.
