Island Survival Challenge: Bamboo Bow Build, Hunt, Catch & Cook

This may be the best primitive survival/bow building video I’ve ever done. While on a recent trip to a tropical island, I took on the challenge of building a primitive survival bow, arrow, and bow string from local materials and seeing if I could complete an island survival challenge catch and cook. The primitive bow string was made from variegated snake plant, the primitive bow, from a large piece of bamboo. For the arrow I used a smaller bamboo shoot and tipped it with a trade point. I built a fire with a bamboo fire saw to straighten the bamboo arrow shaft and complete the survival bow build. When my primitive bow hunting kit was complete I took it out to hunt feral goats in the steep cliffs of the island. After sitting through a few rain showers and high winds, I was finally able to get close enough for a shot at a small goat, perfect for primitive cooking.
