Iraq: At least 82 killed, 110 injured in fire at COVID-19 hospital in Baghdad

Subscribe to our channel! At least 82 people died and around 110 were injured following a fire at a COVID-19 hospital in Baghdad, on Saturday. Most of the victims and injured people are reported to be patients. Beds, ICU equipment and the hospital corridors were blackened in the aftermath of the fire that was extinguished early Sunday morning. The faulty storage of oxygen cylinders has been blamed for an explosion that started the blaze. Meanwhile, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi suspended Health Minister Hassan Al-Tamimi and Baghdad Governor Muhammad Jaber, citing negligence.
