Armstrong Steps Onto Grass 🤗 | Animals Asia

He did it! Just a couple of days after he took those brave first steps outside for the first time in over 20 years, Armstrong stepped onto the grass of his enclosure! Most bears don’t immediately step onto grass when they first go outside at our sanctuaries. After decades of standing on iron bars, natural ground must look and feel so strange, so they stick to the cement pathway until they feel comfortable enough to step forwards. Armstrong had a great day exploring his new outside world, and his carers were overjoyed at how inquisitively and bravely he was moving around. Stay tuned for more updates on our recently rescued bears as Apollo and Buzz join Armstrong really soon!
