It was also a top 10 hit during that first year of the decade in Germany, Netherlands, Australia, Netherlands, Belgium and Austria and has been a dancefloor favourite ever since! The song was written by Mungo Jerry’s Ray Dorset and had originally been intended for Elvis Presley who recorded it but passed away before it was released. Scottish singer Kelly’s version has appeared in several movie and television series. Most recently in Channel 4 UK-HBO Max’s 2021 TV smash “It’s A Sin“, alongside the Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, Bronski Beat, Queen and many more.
