Join Post reporters as the House of Representatives votes for a second time on whether to make Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) its next speaker. Jordan fell short on his first attempt Tuesday, with 20 GOP colleagues refusing to support his bid for speaker. The position has remained vacant since Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was ousted from the post — the next speaker has roughly five weeks remaining to pass a funding deal and avert a government shutdown.
