Use SALT to paint beautiful watercolour Flowers, simple beginners watercolor flower floral tutorial

Today’s demo is for semi-abstract Pink cosmos flowers, masking out the flowerheads first with masking fluid and then using the wet in wet technique and salt to create a lovely background for the daisies, an unpredictable and very exciting method of painting loose flowers. Why not give it a try, and use any colours you like, I used just 3 primary colours, Cotman cerulean blue, gamboge hue and Jackson’s opera rose. I used ordinary fine table salt, various brushes that I found online, but use any brushes you are comfortable with. My board is at an angle of about 45 degrees tilt. My paper is 100% cotton Saunders Waterford, cold pressed, 11“ x 15“/28cm x 38cm. Thanks for watching, and happy painting!
