Why I Don’t Work in a Traditional Hospital

Hello, my friends, Derek and I were discussing retirement and what situations would make a person leave their job. I love my job and couldn’t think of doing anything else. So, Derek asked why I decided not to work in a traditional hospital. You know, Gesundheit won’t be like any other hospital. There are hospitals: some hospitals are for the poor, and some hospitals started to include some fun. Since 1972, I’ve been working to build a hospital that is not only a place you would WANT to go to because of how fun it is but one that also doesn’t charge any money! I don’t believe healthcare should include a financial exchange! How radical is that! Yesterday, we sent out a newsletter about our new fun-raiding project, “Fondly, Finally.“ For years, I’ve been telling people that we need $30 million to build our hospital and $300 million to allow it to run in perpetuity. But, as this pandemic shows us, we need healthcare now! So, I’ve spoken with our team and feel that if we raise $3 million, we will open a clinic. Our Teaching Center, which we see as the cornerstone of our project, is being redesigned to include a clinic. This clinic will house a doctor and nurse to provide primary care for the local community. The space will also allow us to offer courses in health and wellness and teach medical professionals young and old how they too can practice medicine the way they want. So please, if you share this dream, please consider making a tax-exempt donation. Thank you! Patch Adams, MD
