Forestrip is a new label by Dave Pad, who is one half of the Volen Sentir project, which is one of the biggest deep house acts of 2019, known for releases on All Day I Dream and Shanti Moscow Radio. This new label is focused on Dave’s own tracks - produced under various aliases - and those by his friends, and kicks off with a fantastic brace from Travertia. Opener Vetka is a gorgeous melodic cut riddled with lush chords and glass keys that get you in a fine state of summery hypnosis and keep you there as big strings enrich the magical groove. Turiya then continues on a similar path, with brilliantly heart swelling chords and strings all reaching up to the heavens on a clear blue day. It’s escapist, majestic and masterful house music filled with emotions. This is a fine start to what is sure to be a vital label.
