Nazareth - Love Hurts (1974) 4K

Nazareth performing “Love Hurts“, released originally in 1974. It reached #1 in Canada Top Singles, #1 in Norway, and #1 in Belgium. It also reached #8 on the US Billboard Hot 100. “Love Hurts“ was first recorded by the Everly Brothers in July 1960, and was covered by many artists before Nazareth recorded their version in 1974. The song was attempted during a session where they recorded b-sides for the coming singles from their new album, and was never intended to be released as a single or album track. Despite this, it became a hit and continues to be played on radio and used in movies and TV shows. Dan McCafferty, one of the founding members of Nazareth, was born in Dunfermline, Scotland and has appeared on all of the band’s albums up to 2014. The song was originally written by Boudleaux Bryant and recorded by many artists, including Roy Orbison and Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons.
