Lady Starlight is a name synonymous with heavy, modular techno. Whether performing with Surgeon or producing solo, she goes hard and fast during live, improvised recordings that are centred around power and momentum. Fusing barrelling kick drums with wiggly acid and industrial flourishes, her sets and records feel rooted in old-school rave ethos. The Lady Gaga collaborator is typically spotted alongside her Eurorack but she switched things up for her Sessions debut:

When I started touring again last year, I realized that I needed things to be simpler. As a live act, its easy to hide behind gear. Like somehow having more expensive and complicated equipment makes your set “better”.
Since I am often associated with modular synthesizers, I found myself falling into a gear trap. That somehow people would be disappointed if I didn’t show up with my eurorack. But this was a
