Explored an UNDERGROUND airbase - Soviet tanks and armored trains | URBEX

In today’s episode, we are on a road trip down the entire Adriatic coast to visit an underground airbase together with some unique military equipment used in the bloody breakup of Yugoslavia. Our first location is a former Yugoslavian underground airbase. Such underground airbases were the largest military secretes of the former Yugoslavia. Today many of them are abandoned and some, like this one, are closed but actively maintained to be used in any future conflicts. Our next location is a former armored train once used by Croatia’s military. As war in Yugoslavia seemed inevitable in the early 90s, Croatia’s national railway set up a plan to hasty convert one of its diesel locomotives to an armored train. Build to liberate occupied areas of the country, in the end it was never used and today lays forgotten in an active train yard.
