Red Hot Chili Peppers - Voodoo Music Experience Festival 2006 Full show + video footage & photo gallery

City Park (Voodoo Music Experience Festival), City Park, New Orleans, Louisiana. October 28th, 2006. Intergalactic Tour. The band played as a number of a festival in New Orleans. John played a cover of “City of New Orleans“ by Steve Goodman and the whole band played the first half of “Apache Rose Peacock“. During the encore, they invited “The Meters“ to play a 14 minutes long-jam of “Handclapping Song“ Audio improved from incomplete source. Nonetheless, “Tell Me Baby“ and “You´re Gonna Get Yours“ intro missing some seconds but the sound quality is excellent (you can hear the mellotron on “Snow ((Hey Oh))“, for instance). For some reason, the taper released initially only disc 1 until he shared the full show in March 2012 for the first time. I didn’t want to fight the crowd up front, so I decided to tape from the rear satellite speakers, and I think it turned out to be a great decision, as there’s almost no crowd noise. I hope everyone enjoys this show, including track 6 on disc 2 where The Meters join RHCP onstage for a 15 minute jam song. Please note that this recording is slightly incomplete. I’m missing a little bit at the beginning of d01_t01 (was still getting set up), d02_t01 (realized I was going to run out of room on the disc and had to switch settings), and finally d02_t07 (I stopped recording because it looked like the Chili Peppers’ set was over.) Enjoy, despite my mistakes!
