Rishi Sunak was on stage in Birmingham to address the NFU’s annual conference. The Prime Minister started by paying tribute to Minette Batters, the president of the organisation. He described her as a “formidable champion of our farmers”. He said that the UK’s farmers “produce the food we need, food that is some of the best and highest quality anywhere in the world”.
