Old Rusty Small Cleaver Restoration - Just 21 CM!

Hi! I found a small kitchen cleaver at a flea market. I have restored a huge number of different cleavers, but I have not seen this. Very interesting. This is the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. I’m starting to restore it. First, I cut off the old copper rivets and put the cleaver in the rust remover. Next, to neutralize the acid process - I placed the cleaver in soda with water. I cleaned the surface of the cleaver with additional sandblaster, treated it with an iron brush and sandpaper. The hardness of the cutting edge turned out to be very weak, and I re-heat-treated the cutting edge of the cleaver. Then I sanded the surface of the cleaver and moved on to creating a handle made of beech wood. I used brass rivets. As usual, I conducted a test for you. Please do not forget to share this video. Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention! Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!
