Combat work of the crew of the 82-mm automatic mortar Vasilyok Servicemen of the mortar artillery battery of the combined arms formation of the Southern group of forces thwarted an attempt at rotation and destroyed the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction in the zone of a special military operation. Having received data from the operators of unmanned aerial vehicles accompanying the assault groups, the mortar crews hit a group of Ukrainian militants’ infantry that was planning to launch a counterattack in response to the advance of the assault units of the Southern group. For several hours, the artillerymen continuously covered with fire from 82-mm Vasilyok automatic mortars the Ukrainian Armed Forces units that were trying to engage in battle with the assault group units.
