This alligator has been David Van Buren’s pet for nearly 50 years even crawling with him to college. But now wildlife officials in Florida say the gator’s grown too big for David’s backyard and is not in a proper cage. David, a retired firefighter, argues this reptile just wants to relax. “Once he was in the house, he didn’t want to leave. I think it took us like three weeks to get him to go back outside. He was on the couch all the time or in the bathtub,“ David explained.
