APPLE TREE PRUNING | FORCE DORMANCY BY REMOVING LEAVES | IVO DORMANT SPRAY & BRUSH-ON

Charles Malki, Biologist & Plant Expert from discusses forced dormancy on apples grown in warmer climates that delay (or never) drop leaves during the winter. Removing the leaves by mid winter will force the apple tree to “sleep“ (dormancy) shutting down most of the metabolic processes, such as photosynthesis, until the warmer days of spring arrive. Doing so should result in more flowers, and fruit. Let’s learn and grow together! In this video we also identify apple tree flower
