The epicenter was located about 90 km (56 miles) ENE of Namie, Fukushima and 101 km (63 miles) SE of Ishinomaki, Miyagi, Japan. There are 140 000 people living within 100 km (62 miles). 1 324 000 people are estimated to have felt moderate shaking and 37 950 000 light.
