4K Replay: SpaceX test fires Falcon 9 ahead of commercial Axiom 2 space station crew launch

SpaceX test fired a Falcon 9 at launch pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center as part of routine pre-launch preparations for the Axiom 2 mission to the International Space Station. Ignition of the nine Merlin first stage engines occurred at 9:37 p.m. EDT (0137 UTC) on May 19, 2023. The Falcon 9 is scheduled to launch at 5:37 p.m. EDT on Sunday, May 21, on a commercial mission to the International Space Station for Axiom Space. The Crew Dragon will be commanded by former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, while paying passenger John Shoffner will serve as pilot.
