Hundreds of Live Rounds from WW2 lead me to Forgotten Soldiers - Mudlarking the River Thames

What are you legally required to do when you find hundreds of live rounds? I often find the odd one or two rounds of ammunition when out mudlarking, but I was shocked to discover a cache of over one hundred emerging into the daylight from the thick Thames mud. I duly scraped them up and took them to the local police station but I was surprised at what happened there! If you find live ammo on the foreshores you must report it to the police. if it’s one or two bullets then hurl them into middle of the river, but substantial amounts should be reported. If it’s an explosive then do not touch it. Call the Police and they will come down and deal with it. Finding these bullets from WW2 reminded me that it was Armistice Day (the day I made my video) and that the day that it is released it will be Remembrance Sunday. So I decided to take a trip to see the grave of a soldier whose luggage tag I found a few years ago. His name is Frederick Jury and you can read about him here:- ht
