Getting Dressed in the 1830s | 19th Century Clothing

Hello everyone and welcome to a new video! This week, I wanted to show you all the layers that go under the dress I posted about last week. I really enjoy the layering of historical costume, so I was really excited to film this kind of video. I also always feel super cute in historical undergarments (even with the ridiculous 1830s hair!). If you missed last week’s video, where I showed the making of this dress, it’s linked down below. It’s based on an illustration by @ on IG ( in her series of historical witches. This was the Eclectic Witch, in an 1830s design. The last photo was taken by the awesome Eugene Artjomenko ( on IG. I also have some videos on the making of some of the undergarments, linked below. -- RELATIVE THINGS -- 1830s/1840s undergarments Making the Shift Making of the Dress video -- MORE -- Patreon (exclusive videos), Instagram (perhaps overactive stories): @catscostumery Ko-fi: Blog: Facebook: -- All Amazon Links are affiliate links!
