Read the full article at This is a short demonstration of the spindle drive and custom power feed for the Taig lathe. This uses an Icon treadmill motor and a modified MC-40 controller for the spindle drive. The torque feedback can be seen as the motor continues to pour on the power and run without slowing down as I grip it as hard as I safely can with the gloved hand.
