5 LANDSCAPE Painting Tips for Oil Painting

In this video, I tried to compile my top landscape painting tips and show you how I apply them to an oil painting. I think that, despite the title of this video, they’re also applicable to other media, not just oils, with the exception of the first tip about toning your canvas. By the way, I will probably make a separate video on how you can tone your canvas, but, in short, there’s two main approaches. You can coat your canvas with gesso with some acrylic paint mixed in and wait for about a day for it dry. Or, you can use some oil paint with thinner and then rub the excess paint off with a paper towel, like I did for this painting.
