The Lost City: 25 Things You Missed

If you’re setting out to Re-Romance the Stone it’s going to be a little tricky. You can’t just try and revive the action romantic comedy and have it be easy. You need an exotic location, like say the Dominican Republic. You need big name stars like a Magic Mike, Miss Congeniality, or Tyler Durden. You throw in a lost mystery, a romance writer who might actually know a thing or two about lost spaces, and then you have a backdrop for action, adventure, and of course - romance. No stones this time, but you don’t find that out until later. A Fabio-esque cover model sets out to prove that he’s more than muscles and pose downs when the writer of the romance novels that made him a star is kidnapped by an all grown up Harry Potter who has taken on some of that ‘being a billionaire’ evil. A red sparkly jumpsuit, a tiny car, and an actual lost city provide the backdrop for adventure and we have the kind of movie we haven’t seen in a while. Could this action romance romp signal the return of the action rom-com? Have they finally cracked the seemingly unbeatable juggernaut of previous IPs?
