Kensington, London. The popular artist Sir William Russell Flint R.A. is seen at work. Various shots of Sir William painting and C/Us of his sketches. He hands a sketch to a model who takes it away behind some curtains. Sir William tends to his tubes of paint and brushes whist she changes into an old fashioned dress and does her hair in a style to match the sketch. She emerges through the curtains and does a twirl for Sir William. He approves. She sits on a chair and Sir William arranges her hands and dress. Various shots of Sir William painting and of his model. C/Us of the girl and of the painting. The work takes shape before our eyes. Narrator speaks of Sir William’s style and tells a story about how Sir William lost a paintbrush at sea but it was brought back to him the next day on the tide.
