Follow me : Twitter : Facebook : Instagram : How to Make Homemade Ketchup from Fresh Tomatoes - 6 cups tomatoes — washed 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 1/4 cup coconut sugar (or honey or maple syrup) 1/2 teaspoon grated onion or onion powder 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon powder 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves 1/8 teaspoon celery seeds 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cayenne (optional) Place the tomatoes in a food processor or a blender and blend until liquid. Strain the solids out and transfer the tomato juice to a pot. Bring it to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 45 minutes until it has reduced and has thickened. Add the vinegar, sugar, onion, garlic, cinnamon, cloves, celery seeds, salt, and cayenne if using. Mix well and simmer for another 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool down completely.
