“When I started writing this song, I was inspired by the news and the waves of horrifying headlines. Before I was finished writing the song, there was the heartbreaking death of Christina Grimmie and of course, the Orlando shooting. Seeing these headlines made me physically ill and it seems as if this song was meant to be written at this point in time.
