ERIN | The state-of-the-art mastering suite

ERIN: Erin represents the state-of-the-art of plugin suites dedicated to mastering. This suite embodies the luxury mastering equipment as manufactured by one of the most prestigious and appreciated designers in the world, who has been known since the early ’70s for his innovative approach in the field of tube-based systems for the high-end, hi-fi market. Erin has been recently enhanced thanks to Acustica’s new ’hyper- compression’ technology that calculates the amount of compression and the attack and release curves at each sample, so compression is applied immediately and no longer after samples. The speed of these new compressors can be further increased by oversampling while keeping the power consumption at 1/12th of standard compressors. Erin includes five different plugins. The beating heart of this plugin is undoubtedly the presence of two new brickwall limiters, the first more ’traditional’ and the second more ’pioneering’ in their conception, both created from analog dynamics processors and then converted to brickwall limiters, a relatively innovative feature for today’s market which is characterized by a strong prevalence of limiters using (program dependent) digital releases.
