On-point: Why North Korea has not launched spy satellite in October as promised

’10월 시한’ 넘기는 北 정찰위성 발사 “발사장 준비 동향 없어“ The time is almost up for North Korea as its pledge to launch a military satellite for a third trial within the month of October is now not looking too likely. We turn to Professor Brian Myers for the reasons why the launch may not be happening as planned. Welcome back. 1. It’s safe to say the launch is not happening, considering it’s the last day of October, right? And no signs or related activities were seen anywhere. 2. The second attempt in August failed due to a malfunction with the rocket’s third stage, which the North claimed was not a big issue. Then what could be the reason there’s been no third test? The North hasn’t fixed the issue yet? 3. The North would be pretty ashamed of the fact that the third launch attempt is not happening, considering the North normally puts its words into action. Is it feeling more desperation than shame? 4. How likely is it that Russia or Russian scientists have participated in preparing an upcoming launch attempt following Russia’s promises to help Pyongyang with space technology? 5. In the meantime, South Korea and the U.S. are conducting a large-scale aerial drill this week. Will this bother the North? Will the North stage military provocations as a show of discontent? Thanks, Professor Myers as always for your insight and your time. #NorthKorea #spy_satellite #military_satellite #military_provocation #security #KimJongun #launch_rocket #정찰위성 #군사위성 #북한 #Arirang_News #아리랑뉴스 📣 Facebook : 📣 Twitter : 📣 Homepage : 2023-10-31, 09:00 (KST)
